Should I get bangs? Questions to answer before the cut
Compare the fringe you like with the upkeep and grow-out you are willing to accept.

Describe the fringe, not just the name
Bring a reference and point to the length, density and parting you mean. “Bangs” can describe very different outlines. Ask your stylist to show where the proposed fringe would finish when dry, including the shortest pieces. Do not assume a catalog name determines the finished length.
Check your hairline in person
Ask your stylist to look at how your hair falls without restyling it first. Discuss your usual parting, any areas that resist it, and how you wear your natural texture. A generated image does not test growth patterns or show how the fringe will behave after washing.
Price the routine before the cut
Ask how the fringe would be styled on an ordinary morning, which tools or products would be needed, and when the next trim is likely to be. Confirm whether fringe trims are separately priced. Decide whether both the daily routine and appointment schedule fit your time and budget.
Ask about growing it out
If you change your mind, what would you do with the shortest pieces? Ask about a transition plan and whether the proposed length could be pinned or swept away. Avoid relying on a universal grow-out date. Your stylist can discuss what to expect for your starting length and desired next style.
Use a preview to narrow the question
Compare a fringe preview with your original photo. Look at the framing you like and whether the AI changed anything else, especially your eyes or hair texture. Save a reference if useful, but ask your stylist whether that effect is practical for your hair. A convincing image is not proof that a cut will behave that way.
Make the appointment brief concrete
Try: “I like the framing here, but I need to keep my hair out of my eyes during ___. I am willing to spend ___ minutes styling it. Can you show the shortest length before cutting and explain how I would grow it out?” If those tradeoffs do not feel right, postpone the fringe or discuss another way to frame your face.
